This vendor says the engine in his car is stronger than the type used in the others. Poetic Licence?

More powerful yes.
More reliable.... open to discussion.
The Rover V8 is tried and tested and not known for issues.
The AJP is a pretty reliable engine as well as long as it's been looked after.

Sales talk.

Sounds an OK car

The 4.5 AJP is recognised as being a more powerful and reliable engine than, say, the speed six 4.0. More reliable than the Rover derived engines? Don't think so.

Having said this PHer whatever has had a lovely green Cerb for a long old while with no engine troubles at all. During that time I've had a Chimaera - with no troubles (engine wise - loads of everything else).

That should make a great, fast car for someone.

I hope whoever gets it looks after it as it is a piece of automative heritage now - it'd be sad if someone got it just to thrash it until it dies...

OMG yikes

Just clicked on the above link and thought I recognised the reg plate 'A7 JET'!!

I bought a J reg Mitsubishi Shogun off this fella back in 2000. Stupidly I didn't do an HPI check and found out in 2003 when I traded it in at a Peugeot dealership that it had been written off while on the 'A7 JET' plate in 1996 !! This of course halved it's value on re-sale. furious

Funny the vendor didn't mention it !??!

Now, of course there may be nothing wrong with this Cerb... but I'd think twice with this vendor !!

Payback would be sweet, however there's no facility to ask questions on the ebay page, although I can e-mail him wink

He has an interesting past history too..
