Hello all!!!

So, passed my ARDS today! (whoop whoop) and so thought that now that I am 'official' I would actually join up, and stop watching from the grandstands. Been driving a 1986 Capri, looking to my first race in an Austin Healey 100. Looking forward to chatting with you all! And yes, another bl**dy woman driver........!!

Congratulations on passing the test. The more female drivers the better I take photos for 3 female drivers (Fiona Leggate, Anna Walewska and Cassey Watson.) and ocassionally write articles/reports for the Girlracer website as well as Race reports for Fiona, although she isn't currently racing due to lack of funds. Ill keep a look out if you're at any race meetings I'm at and get some on track shots

I'll have to lend you my pink outfit and helmet to race in, although I'm fairly confident it won't pass todays race standards, and the gauntlets and heels will just get in your way!!

Good luck, if you're ever racing at castle combe let me know and I'll cheer you on!

There are a few drivers still competing who have lost a limb or part of a limb, i know two and they are/were very quick. The most Famous apart from Alex has to be David Piper, he's still racing his Ferrari's and Porsche 917's in his 70's.

remember you can get Upgrade signuratures for your race license for doing a days marshaling any meeting will do.

Didn't that chap die last year? Unforgiveably i can't recall his name (which is down to my terrible memory, not any lack of fame on the driver we're discussing). I think he died at the age of 80 or 90 odd last year just days before he was due to compete at the Revival. Twas discussed at length on PH at the time. Delaney! I think it's just come to me, was his name Delaney?

Oh, no it seems it wasn't him, found Tom Delaney in Wikipedia, the poor guy died at the tragically young age of 95.

There was a one-armed bloke at the thundersprint riding an old BSA victor special last time I was there.
