Magnex system for Newage Impreza anyone??
Discussion
Dont know if i should be posting this on here and i will soon get a slap on the wrist if im posting in the wrong place (sorry in advance mods) but my Magnex cat back system is coming off the car on the 22nd and i was wondering if anyone on here was interested. Its A1 and i would leave it on if i wasnt going up to a 3" system, in fact, i love it so much, my new custom system will be the same design and sound if possible. It costs £320 new so i am after half that, £160. Im in South Wales and would prefer to drop off or meet up if someone wanted it, but posting isnt a problem

I'm putting a 3" catted system on mine to include some GT Gen II spec headers. That's great so long as youre heading towards 350/360bhp mark, but for anything less than that a 2.5" system would be mechanically better and sound better too. In fact the Impreza OEM system is a 2 5/8" so slightly bigger than the 2.5" but not a lot in it.
A bigger system doesn't always mean better, but i suppose it's all down to what floats yer boat!!

My old lump is coming out today and i should have all the relevant tubes and pipes swapped over by the end of play today / tomorrow morning. Then it's the dreaded wiring loom. I have to remove it without damaging it so i can sell it on, and then fit the new loom.
That will be fun
Good luck with that mate, wiring is a pain in the backside! That will be fun

Evil....
That looks very nice indeed. Bet it sounds loverrrrly!!
When the rest of my system has been delivered (i've got the center section now and already had the TSL GrpN backbox fitted) i'll get some pics up of it before and after ceramic coating. GT Spec 3 bolt flange GenII Headers, Decat Uppipe, Catted downpipe and Center resonated pipe, all Kakumei.

Charlie
Just sticking with the VF35 for now. I have spent enough as it is and the whole STi transplant thing has left me pretty skint so i want to make the most of what i have for the moment hence the headers etc... With my mapping it should be good for c.360bhp which will do for starters

Why?.... Have you got a good suggestion??
Maybe later on this year, dosh permitting, during the winter i'll have a look at one of these quick spooling Andy Forrest hybrids that are good for upto 500bhp but will still run well with the TMIC. The STI TMIC and OEM airbox should be good for c.400 - 420bhp and give me a bit fun before things start getting silly and i decide 400 isn't enough. Then i really need to think about FMIC and maybe beefier internals. I'd like to keep the car nicely driveable for everyday as well as a bit of trackday fun and the odd autotest
It's all dosh dependent!!

Here are some pics of my headers, uppipe and catted downpipe that arrived today

I really like this Kakumei gear. Good quality products, superb welding, lovely finish and looks the biz. We'll see what the fit is like when i get down to it.
I would definately buy this brand again but not from the same seller, Flat4Online. Not my favorite distributor, further remarks i'll keep to myself for now!!

What makes you thing i don't like this seller!!
Next time i'll go direct!!
