Does anyone have an idea what "private treaty" means, in relation to this advert:

Possibly the advert has been modified?

However, reading the advert it is clear that it is being sold by private bids, i.e. highest bid wins.

ISTR that cars imported direct from the factory only receive a on year warranty. Or am I mistaken?

It just means 'private sale'

I'd imagine the dealer is selling it for a private seller on commission rather than out of his own stock smile

Hi there,

The seller Wyles, Hardy and Co are a firm of business asset valuers and auctioneers.
They look after a lot of high profile sales and have recently handled the sale of quite a few MGSV's after the demise of MG Sport and Racing Ltd.

The Gallardo is listed as coming from a major finance house, it seems there are a few cars from the same source including a Aston Martin DB9 Volante.
