Have been after 360 spider for while and have seen this one at a dealer in Bolton.

3 owner car: Advertised as FFSH, but although 14k on car, Ferrari service history stops at 5.5k in June 2006. hasn't been serviced since. Dealer says it need 'minor service'. Coming from a 996 C4S to first ferrari, is this plausible or just indicative of a car that hasn't been looked after and would have problems.? What are servicing intervals? Is another 8k a minor service?

its 02 grigio alloy spider spider on at 62,995 on autotrader on at audi specialist in bolton. Any thoughts/help re pricing / service history gap greatly appreciated.

It has over shot the service both in mileage and time. However it is only one service, but in that period it has done a lot of miles (by ferrari standards) so I would get it thoroughly checked over by a specialist before purchasing as it may need quite alot spent on it. Also £63k for a grigio spider is too much. Very difficult colour to sell on and I would want to pay sub £60k, even with the mileage. If dealer wont service it as part of the deal I would want at least another £1000 off the price. Check when belts were last done as due last year (assuming they have not been done out of sequence) and if need changing I would want another £700 off for those. Also have clutch checked out as they are very expensive to change!

If PPI checks out and you get enough off the price a single service missing shouldnt be detrimental to the car.

Thanks Chris, Understood and thanks. Nothing including belts done since 2005 and dealer seemingly unwilling to negotiate on price in meaningful way. 'Only way to check the clutch is take the gearbox out' dealer tells me, which I am told elsewhere is incorrect as a SD2 device can be plugged in to check clutch wear etc. Search continues.

Guessing rosso/crema best colour combo for resale. Whats after that black / silver ?

Anyone that runs over the service interval for an oil change does show a lack of mechanical sensitivity, I would worry about what else they have ignored / abused / neglected. Not a show stopper, but I would get someone to give it a serious look over.
Garage sounds like a tosser. I would avoid, there are plenty on the go.

If it is a manual car then SD2 wont tell you clutch wear. SD2 only gives reading on F1 cars. A specialist on an inspection should be able to give you a good idea of what a clutch is like without removing the gearbox. Three years with no work whatsoever - I would be very surprised if there werent a few issues that need sorting on top of normal service items. If he wont negotiate then I would look for something else; there are loads of 360's out there.

Rosso/crema is the most sought after combo and there arent that many of them either. Rosso/nero is probably next. Although I must say black is very highly sought after and there arent many available; I am looking for a black one and struggling to find the right condition/interior/price (actually there are very few available in black anyway). Grigio and silver are the two most difficult colours to sell; I have known both to sell in spider form for £55k and both had 14-15k miles.

Good luck in your search

ns, have you seen this car:

http://www.brittle.co.uk/car.asp?menuMake=FERRARI&...

My Dad used to own it and I spotted it for sale in Top Marques. It is a fantastic colour combination and was always well looked after and cleaned! Have posted some of my own photos below as their photo doesn't do the colour justice!

Grigio Alloy the hardest 360 colour to shift Ferrari dealer would offer less than £40k on this car as trade in.

Well I know that my Dad got on px about the price its selling for now and that was about 14 months ago, so whoever bought it after lost a lot of money on it.

Yeah i've noticed Grigio Alloy cars stick around for a bit, can't see why imo because its a nice colour, especially on the Spider

Thanks 10JH, that car sold about 3-4 weeks ago: it had been reduced to 64k on dealers website The dealer phoned me and alleged it had gone vvv close to that asking price

Thought their asking price was a bit high. Hope it went to a good home! Good luck with your continuing search.
