I think everyone has done all their mods. Now times are a little tougher bods are saving their pennies for mortgages and fuel.

So not much mod talk, just warranty chit chat and service complaints

I think its time everyone starting tuning their own cars wink

It's a bit boring reading thread after thread of "spotted" or "my door leaks" or "which exhaust kills least baby seals" or "my life will end unless I can get some Holden badges" tbh.

I've tried a few things like fave roads and trackdays etc but they just get swamped in the mongness of the above.

I dunno what the answer is...

I know that the last couple of days have been quiet, but if you look at the stats on the PH "Gassing Station" we are a very busy site with over 70,000 posts, and thats not bad considering the number of vehicals in the country.

You have to admit that the weather has been crap, RWYB was called off, but other events will take over soon, I think that it is only a couple of weeks time (is that right Olly) were meeting up, well that always generates loads of posts, V max, track days, trips to Le Mans, the ring, etc etc. So nothing to worry about lads, summer is coming. Mmmmmmmm summer = barbies, yeah!

Not in the Ro though, takin a mates E30 325i for a laugh... oh look we crashed it/broke it... never mind leave it there and catch a flight back sort of attitude with it not being worth alot really so should be a fun weekend.

I've only been on here a little while, and I'm still getting over the initial expense and problems of getting my ro in the first place. It won't be long before I've settled and will be looking for the next mod. I think a supercharger will be a way off as I don't have the 6.5 grand free, but I will certainly be joining in in some mod talk before long.

My next priority will be going to a track day though. It's the one question I get asked more than anything else when chatting about my car, and I most definately want to do it.

We could do with organising some more meets definately. Brands was good, but it would be nice to do something only ro and VXR8 based.

I like this place, and I like that I can ask questions about servicing and warranty and any other niggling little thing and I like that I get a response (even if they are boring topics for some). Some of you guys have been on here a long time, done all the mods and know alot of the answers, but some of us newbies don't know the answers and have to turn to you old timers for answers

I would most certainly be interest in a track day, but it's the travelling that does it. There doesn't seem to be a lot of owners in the South East, so most track days seem further afield. Brands is my nearset, has anyone ever done a track day there, and is it any good?

Tempy, regarding trackdays, I have used Goodwood six or seven times over the past three years with my Integrale and Brands twice last year (with Evo mag) and they are both very good, but the Lancia has to go now as I want to do things with the vxr8 (and trackday it) I cannot afford an Australian and an Italian, but I have a place at Goodwood in july so we will see how good the Holden is.....chris..

most forums are quiet this time of year. the weather is starting to come nice, so people are out. most big jobs have been finished, so there is less chat regards them.

but this is still one of the busiest forums i know of id say

you get from any forum, what you put in. if you make a post that calls this place crap, your not going to get much from it, as you have already made your mind up

I'm surprised the introduction of the VXR8 hasn't livened the forum up. It seems that the only VXR8 owners here are previous 'ro owners. I guess as time moves on, things will quieten down further as more cars get written off, scrapped or passed onto new owners who couldn't give a monkeys about them.

Also some recent topics got rather personal which sort of spoiled the friendly atmosphere that there used to be on here and some topics start off well then people start flaming others for the simplest things.

I will have been on here for 3 years this September and it doesn't seem to be the same freindly forum I originally joined up to. I guess it can only be what we make it.

I am. Perhaps you should do a diary feature, HarryOZ-stylee?

I would be interested in some more extreme tuning, not just the standard bolt-on SC.

Deffo, its a few months away yet. But Ill spill the beans when things are more in place.
Suffice to say, Darton, Callies, Mahle, ETP should all be featuring.

Can't wait to hear all about it. As you know, I've been looking a heads and cams and would love to read about the decision-making process and the results.
