Fusre 14 rating?

My factory original fuse no. 14 (acc socket/interior light/radio) is rated at 10amp but in the US manual it is 15amp - does anyone know which is best?

Also the next fuse along, no. 15, (hazard, horn) is 20amp out of the factory but 15amp in the manual?!

Less is definately more in this case.
Why put in a 15A, do you want to plug in a mains inverter and use a 240v polishing mop?

Ya got me Tony! Actually, I wanted to plug in my new portable car-wash tent (I do, of course, possess a mains-powered polisher)!

Regarding the fuse ratings (thanks Joust, Tony) yes, I know about using the lowest rated fuse per circuit but wondered why the US guys have this one higher and the horn fuse lower.

Are you saying Rob, that you had time to go a check all your fuses were the correct ones in the correct slots??

Yes Greg, and I remove all of my fuses and relays once a year to clean them!

You need to get yourself some of those fuses that light up when they blow.

If you blow that fuse and you have the Sony CD/radio it will need the code again to make the unit work. Took me ages to get the code even though I've had the car from new.

ah thats probably why mine is dead.. changed it for another sony unit we had kicking around. Think i might have the code amoungst the paperwork. What do they do when needing the code? stay totally blank?

Correct. You need the remote controller and the correct four button sequence which will be from any buttons not just numbers. From memory I obtained a selection of ten codes to try and the sixth one worked.

Ah seem to remember a list of codes. best dig them out and have a try.
