I'm thinking of giving up a reliable 1996 Honda Civic and getting a 1991 Merc 190E - 1.8 Litre Automatic,
I have heard that they are pretty bullet proof, but would welcome some ideas as to what I should look out for on a test drive.
Honda purchased from the same dealer just over a year ago for £1950
Merc is up for £995

I last drove a 190 in 1990.
