How noisy is it? Are you unlikely to pass any track day noise checks?

I have CCC's and still set off car alarms...funny at first then you realise you are really P*ssing people off!

in my view it's way too noisy to combine CCCs with decats. to the point where I wasn't lowering the windows in tunnels - sacrilege!

on Dom's recommendation I've fitted his sports cats to bring the noise back down to merely loud and he's very happy with the rolling road results.

I'm pretty certain I don't have the money to spend on sports cats but out of interest what 'cell' are they (100 or 200?) and what did they set you back?

I made a set of semi silenced cans which do the job perfectly. They even passed a noise test at Oulton (105dba). Great sound, great pops and bangs but without the violence ears

200 cell (standard cats are 400 cell) and they cost £300 odd plus vat for a pair.

I haven't tried the car with them in yet but hope to soon.

Thats pretty reasonable - do they pass emmisions?

How much louder are they - under 105db? Any (measured) power increase?

From what I gather sports cats (200 or 100 cell) give 90% of the benifit of a decat but with less noise, MOT hassle, tree killing etc.

.....must not spend more money on cars.........

I'm picking the car up on Saturday so will report after that. Power is significantly up on standard and with a bespoke map an improvement over decats with a sub optimal map, esp in torque. MOT is no problem and noise should be much less than decats.
