Engine was running quite nicely but suddenly cut out while driving and now won't start at all. From checking so far it looks like fuel pump not working.

Is there a safety cut off switch anywhere? There is nothing where its shown in Haynes Granada manual.

Are there any fuses for the fuel pump as doesn't look to be anything for this on main fuse board?

There is a relay marked "engine run sensor". Is this the one that will control fuel pump?

Anything else to check apart from bad connections and dodgy wiring?

Used to happen to mine.

Try fiddling with the fuses in the main box first.

Yes fuses first if you can work out which is which.
Then waggle the relays in case one has a bad connection.
Depending which year you have there's a wire running to the wing side of the mixture control unit. Pull that off as it's the safety cut out. Mine is an 81 and doesn't work if it's plugged in.

After that try checking for a supply at the pump.

I had this happen after a local Specialist changed the fuel filter. In my case it was the fuel pump earth needed cleaning up.

Thanks for comments.
Wiring connections to pump were not looking too good so have replaced them and also tried running earth connection direct to battery, but not made any difference.
Getting a voltage reading across pump terminals when turning engine over but no sign of life from pump. As voltage is there would anything else be stopping pump working?
Or new pump needed??
