There was a recent thread about the E-Type centre here a couple of months back

Search for a thread entitled

"The E-Type Centre has closed?"

it would depend a lot on the car, was the e-type centre just an agent or did they do work on the car

personally having seen some of their "restorations" if they have done much more then change the oil, i'd walk, i know when i was looking for mine, i looked at several that had been under the care of the e type centre and didn't come even close to buying any of them, they all looked botched. Knowing someone who made the mistake of buying one of their "restored cars" it cost him 80k to make the car what he thought he was buying.

you may be lucky, but i'd advise extreme caution, pm me or call me and i can point you in the direction of some people who'd be able to check the car over for you or some sources for a good car

I have seen on another site, some months back, that they still exist but now in Devon. Their midlands site was up for sale for a year or so at over £1 million but no takers. I would agree with the above comments on them too - unless you really know your E types and are competent to look one over I'd take a walk. Their reputation goes before them and I've seen quite a few of their "concours" cars they've sold. Mostly tarted up cars which are rubbish underneath.

In my experience that applies to 90% of E-Types offered for sale today, most of them are now around 40 years old......beware the dreaded rot...engines can always be repaired.

Choose carefully...Buy in haste, repent at leisure....biggrin

However a first class example should only appreciate in value.....
