The UK’s premier and most used Sprint Course is under threat from the development of a new community containing up to 5000 dwellings and associated amenities.
Make your views known to Lichfield District Council, you can make a difference, this is not a done deal !

Please visit the Curborough website to obtain details of how to oppose this development and do so before 29th April.

This venue is of National importance and we need YOU to help us preserve it.

Please visit: www.curborough.co.uk to find details of how you can help.

Many thanks

Yes I agree this would be a great loss to the motorsport fraternity not only in the area but nationally.

It will not only affect Curborough Sprint course but the skid pan and the model aero club, together with the valuable loss of farming land.

Whatever can be done to prevent this unnecessary development has my support, totally.....

Of course it may never happen as the local area infrastructure could never support this kind of increase so, hopefully, it maybe one of Mr Broones Jam tommorrow schemes will will never work due it being totally unviable!!

If there is strong opposition they really will have to think about it - please object!

If we lose it and have done nothing we will never know if it would have made a difference.
If we do something and lose it at least we did something!!

I think that makes sense!!!

Objection to be logged today.

Steve - have the specialist press had opportunity to pick up on this yet? (Autosport, Motorsport News etc)

Personally i wasn't aware of the previous threat to Shelsey Walsh until it appeared in Autosport.

Granted, the circumstances surrounding Shelsey were different to those now facing Curborough. However i can only assume that getting the news "out there" had a positive effect on what Shelsey required at that point i.e donations.

As such would a similar approach aid Curborough but for "donations" insert "objections"?

Cheers.

What a stupid long winded form, no wonder people never complain. I've now put forward my objection.

I've just been told my University is lodging an institutional objection to this. (We run motorsport courses)

A full page advert appears in MotorSport News today, and I believe there may be editorial next week.
A press release is also being prepared for other local press and national motor press.
