Hi, the S3 I am currently trying to sort has a non original carb on it. My car as a 'DFV' (from a 2000 GT engine I believe) as opposed to 'DGV'. Having just spoken to a weber specialist he thinks that the carb may not be suitable or the car, even if re-jetted.

Has anyone else come across this carb on an x-flow before? At the moment, I have to turn the mixture right down and am still not getting a good mixture (slightly too rich!), even though the guy told me it should ahve a smaller idle jet than the DGV!!??!!

Question is, does anyone have a spare DGV floating around? I only seem to be able to find auto choke ones?

Any offers gratefully received!

Thanks
Paul.
