Hi Leigh, I've ot one which is a bit knackered, but mainly around the flange - this is where they tend to go first!

Why not get soneone like PD Gough to mke up a couple of straight sections with flanged ends on one end in s/s?

If you cut a slot along the other end you can simply clamp it onto your existing pipe. It shouldn't cost too much.

Yes body is back on.
Electric column is fitted. (had to cut a hole in the engine mount though)
Fuel tank is back in.
1st fuel pump is on.

Still need to do the following
wire the Electric PAS
Get Fly Wheel Lightened, and fitted with trigger wheel.
Sort Electric's
Fit fuel 2nd pump and fliter
Fit Harness
Get Crank etc balanced
Fit fire system
Buy and install Battery's
Fit top end of engine and Cam. new Gaskets and stud kit
Fit Clutch and flywheel etc.
Fit engine
Install Rad and custom cooling system, hoses etc.
Fit oil cooler.
Fit injection and Ancilleranys
Take car to an Exhaust specialist to get custom headers and Exhaust made to fit as standard Exhaust won't fit.
Fit Emerald ECU etc
Get the Engine running
Fit DL1 and dash, and get working
Get ECU fully set-up on rolling road

and if I have time get a new front end and get it sprayed.

I always thought the flywheel ring gear would make a great trigger wheel. Only problem is getting a once-per-rev 'missing tooth', you don't want to take a tooth out.

Perhaps you could also sense the lump on the front pulley? 'Nor' them together and you're in business!

Yes I'm going the Front pulley method now.

There's just not enough room with the manual flywheel. and the later manual ones are like rocking horse doo doo.

Yes saw the post.
Thank you.
was funny was looking though the blue book and saw a add for jet-x was going to look at them to day.

The plan was to not butcher the original box, hence wanting the original flange ends.

but after the W/E does not look the that's possible.

Would it be OK to fit the compensator just before the center box. or should they go nearer the manifolds.

I think space and ground clearance and accessability will determine the location.. few inches either way won't really matter.

well the centre box is about 18" away from the manifolds.

Ground clearance is not an issue as all exhaust is about chassis lvl.

I think I'll but them in the access hole under the wing. (whole front comes off to give good access.)
