Today i've mostly been changing my shocksthumbup and all done and dusted in a couple of hours, i found it one of the easiest mods i've done to date. I've got gaz golds 400lbs front set at 30 clicks back from hard and 325lbs rear set at 26 clicks. the ride height is 145 front and 150 rear but i'm going to play around with it tomorrow, i removed the rear ARB also really easy to do, initial test drive drivingwith two up in the wet was a suprizingly planted although i have still got to check the geometry.smokinbeer

im no expert but from what i can gather the car doesn't weigh the same over each wheel so each corner is weighed and weights added to equal things up,i stand to be corrected there

You adjust the weights of the car at each wheel on the spring platforms, just like leaning on one foot or the other, balancing on the preload of the springs wink

Its only really fat barstewards who would need ballast adding.....

If you do stiffen, start at the front because I reckon a stiffish front and a compliant rear works better.

No knob jokes you lotbiggrin

Just had new Gaz golds fitted yesterday by Derek (Ab Shocks) and absolutely brill, they made a substantial difference in the handling immediately, really changed the car. The OEM billie's were shagged, so was the setup.

Just need to let them settle in and then go back for full geo setup and corner weighting.

My opinion, since I previously had Nitron's on a Chim 500, is that the Gaz golds are every bit as good as Nitron's, maybe better! .....for much less cash.wink

The geometry is now done by Neil Garner including corner weighting also had the ARB wishbone mount made by adrian Venn, new SH drop links in blue with ARB poly bushes.
I must say it handles like a different car now and looks the dogs dangles thumbupdriving
