We use Line50 V13 for our accounts. We have a couple of persistently slow payers for whom we would like to preload an invoice by a percentage which can be deducted by them if they pay within the specified time.

So for example job costs £100, we preload by 10% and send them an invoice for £110 with a note that they only have to pay £100 if paid within 14 days.

Is this easily do-able in Sage, if so how? I am well aware that late payment credit charges can be applied after a set number of days in Sage, but I cant see how to pre-load rather than post-load if you see what I mean?

Use the "Discount" facility to elininate the "extra" element of the original invoice. This will also remove the VAT element of the discounted amount.

Thanks Eric. I'll have a look at that.

Ok, i've had a play. I have set up settlement terms and %age discount for the customer. I create the invoice and when i look in the 'footer details' tab of the invoice screen it does indeed show the discount being correctly applied.

However, when i print the invoice there is no hint of an early settlement discount shown. It only shows the loaded price. The Sage help says the discount details should appear in the footer of the invoice but i've tried all the invoice templates and i can't see it.

Any clues?
