Thought i would have a go at making something considerably more aesthetically pleasing than the Challenger tank units! Broke mine in recent front end crash. Have mounted 37 hi brightness orange LED's through a carbon fibre disk and potted in clear resin. I'm bloody chuffed!! smile

Indeed i think the LUCUS original units are a universal indicator pod which are commonly used on military vehicles. I'm having a twin speed six headlight conversion and thought these indicators looked naff with the updated look. My car is Starmist grey so would contrast well with the carbon fibre/clear led effect. I am so busy with work now and my car has so much work to do on it. Got to get my priorities right idea Car it is smile

I don't s'pose the rear bits survived did they? The bits that hold the bulb? scratchchin
I think a wire has come adrift in one of mine and I can't find any anywhere, so might have to try and take it apart, which in my world means it'll never work again. paperbag

Mr Junkie, thought about setting up a garage business doing this? You could make yourself a lot... (love the centre console!)

Slideways, clear potting resin and i found a plastic container which is pretty much the exact shape!

Don1, and that would be great if i had the spare time!! The centre console needs a few small modifications if i were to make for anyone who wanted one. But these would really be one-off parts and the quality may be variable. Depends upon expectations i suppose. Come and see mine in the flesh and make your mind up!

Hope you don't mind the pics being lifted Chimjunkie, if you do just shout and I'll erase them.

Love the door cards, just not sure whether it's an all or nothing project, love the all carbon interior and the seat upgrade, just not really ready to take that big a jump yet, but the door cards look do-able. scratchchin

Hi Raceboy, Door cards very do-able! Just get yourself a large sheet of carbon fibre about 2mm thick, cut out and glue on in place of carpet! Lots of hastle though removing door cards.

I've had one of, once, and can remember it being a nightmare, can't actually remember why now. scratchchin
It's just the kind of thing I know I'd start and get half way through and find a whole load of new problems to fix that would turn the job in to a winters work, idealy I think I could do dash and door cards (the flat bits wink) but I just know if I took the dash off I'd start changing things and it'd take months to get back together again and get everything working. banghead
I know someones thats had their Chimaera in bits for years now, if I every see it out on the road again I'll be surprised. frown
