Now that Blu-Ray has formally won the Hi Def format wars, will MS be putting down the prices for their add on HD-DVD drive for the 360?

Does anyone have one and is it any good? For a good price I would consider it, especially if the prices of the discs drop too...

You can pick it up most places for about £35, if that isn't a drop I don't know what is. And the discs are starting to go for about £5 each too.

Keep checking www.hotukdeals.com

About 2 posts down they have Pans Labyrinth for £8 in HMV who also have a big sale on where a lot of titles are £5.

I was going to say that you could buy mine.....possibly one of the worst buys I've made. Don't get me wrong its pretty good at what it does but ever since buying an upscaling DVD player I don't use it and up until now the disks are cost prohibitive.

But if new ones are selling at 35, I won't bother offering!

I'll file it alongside the Minidisk player, the Betamax and the Sega Saturn. yikes

OOh...

Well I have an upscaler too, and its great, even with Divx but I thought as they're pretty cheap now I wanted to see proper HD..although, i'll probably be bored of it within a week!!!

I was only paying a tenner each from the US. Thats the main problem with bluray IMO - region coding and £30 disks frown

Don't get me wrong fella at 35, its worth the money...especially with the price of the movies coming down. The picture quality is immense, although its still only gives 5.1 surround sound.....I'm just bitter I paid close to retail on it.

I bought an x-box drive at full retail, liked it so much that I sold it for a small loss but bought a stand alone Toshiba player. Doh!

Wouldn't want one just because the noise the actual 360 makes is so loud!
