I’m trying to get hold of a new rubber gaiter that sits between the gear lever and the gearbox and stops the dirt and muck getting into the car. (Not the fancy one on the inside). It’s the one that says petrol one way and diesel the other. SD1 item is No Longer Available according to Rimmers. Does one off a Land Rover/Range Rover fit?

Any sources or part numbers appreciated!

Thanks
Nick

I would try tvr car parts , as I'm sure the last 1 I got was from a Chim / Griff and got that from a TVR dealer as I found Ford wanted the exact Transit model and year etc !

I looked on tvr car parts but couldnt see anything listed for it.
Ford sounds feasible though.

£14.20 plus drat plus p&p.
Bible says it's held with a metal ring - mine was/is held with sealant and about 8 pop rivets.
(long alum rivets plus washers to stop them cutting into the rubber.)

I used a ford Sierra one that Tallbloke got me, which fitted OK though it did need a little fettling at the bottom. I cut up a thin sheet of aly to hold it down.

paid less than half that for one from a scrap yard I removed from a Seirra. Look like new and was a direct replacement
