Yeah spotted threads are boring blah blah etc

Well I'm a newbie, and I still get excited when I see a ro or r8 on the road. Hell, I get excited when I spot my own one out the window!!!!

I just wish I could actually see one since I've got mine instead of my missus, who has seen two. Todays was a nice black 'ro VXR on the way to Swanley on the M25. I left the license number at work but I remember it was an L reg on an 05 plate.

C'mon, own up, who was it? I know it wasn't BO55

Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Fort William and Glenfinnan, on Sunday past for a good thrash, correction, "drive" on real roads. Plenty of longgg straights as well to stretch it, so to speak

While somebody else is taking the flack for a boring spotted thread, how about the red VXR A303 near Amesbury on Sunday??
Looked to be trying to set a new mpg record!!

Well I like the 'spotted's' so keep them coming.

Frankly the forum is for the people on the forum, and if we like doing spotted's then that makes it a good forum for most of us.....

Of course the 'old guard' find it boring and remember the 'good old days' but things move on, don't they?

Or maybe they don't - since we are still talking about spotted's, superchargers, etc.

I don't know!!

But I do like the spotted's!! Sorry!

Had lunch yesterday with some family friends out from England, he asked me about my car, I was surprised that he had no idea, had never seen one. He lives in Bucks and works in London. Are they really that rare over there?

OTOH, since getting mine I keep seeing another yellow CV8 around my suburb. The other day we were actually nose to tail on the main road. Hers is a V2 though.

still never come across one in the wild while driving my Ro, only when I've been in other cars.

Had mine a year now and only seen a couple of others. In fact a guy not half a mile from me has bought a red 05 CV8 a few months ago, but he's not on here. I love the spotteds too, I've been "spotted" once!

Well, I usually pass another CV8 on the way to work every morn and pass him again on the way homeeek. He hasn't waved or acknowledged me once in the 12 or so months this has been happeningfurious. I used to see a silver 05 plate regularly too on the same routewavey.I haven't seen him for a while now so I guess he's either sold the car, moved, changed jobs or, heaven forebid, totalled it!weeping

Ah, I wonder who that was then. I think my missus said it started LS05. Never mind. It was probably someone who doesn't come on the forum.

The black VXR I saw at the NEC yesterday started LS05. Can't remember the rest.
