Seems strange, they have only two shows listed on their website. Stoneleigh and the factory open day.

Business must be booming if they can afford to miss shows!

Hi Gaz

There is no static show at Donnington this year, only a track day.

I asked if they were doing the new Bruntingthorpe show but they say no!

Yep, I can confirm that too. I know another kitcar manufacture that told me that Donnington was not going to happen this year. Something to do with the organisers/a clash, plus the fact that the show has been going down hill over the years.

As for the Brunters thing, that sounded quite good. That is until you realise that you would not here anything, the noise limit is something rediculous, meaning that the majority of kitcars would not be able to run on track anyway!

Filby and Tanner organising competing events or something like that. There was a thread in the kitcar section ages ago.

What is the noise issue with Bruntingthorpe- this has been resolved and at the last visit Lucky's car was not issue. Also what is the bruntingthorpe event as it is an ideal location.

It was probably the Donnington Show a couple of years back that got me hooked on the Ult. A silver sport and some shenanigans with an ali riveted exhaust silencer, from memory. Fancy taking the black beastie, but with 104dB do I/we stand a chance?

Someone tried to repack their exhaust and riveted the silencer back up with ali rivets, which needless to day, melted on track!

Right, that is what I thought you may have been refering to. Look here, it was all in the name of research and development, or more to the point trial and error!!! I learned my lesson so don't rub it in anymore. However, it did get me on track (with some ridiculously low noise limit), all be it for a very short amount of time.

Also, they were fine on track, it was only when the session was red flagged and the heat soak while sitting in the pits melted them. I later put in stainless, but they where a bu66er so ended up with M6 button heads and welding some flanges inside to take tapped holes.
