Well, in a rush of blood to the head I've sold the elise - sad to see it go.

It'd had covered 27k in two years and never missed a beat. Everyday driving was a pleasure and the roof came off at every opportunity. I wanted a liz from when they were first released, but it wasn't till the elise appeared in S2 guise that I could afford one. Now that I've left liz ownership it'll seem a little stange for awhile [particularly when you're out with the guys and they've all got their lids off as happened at the weekend on both Saturday and Sunday, but it was bound to happen sometime.

If it's sunny at the weekend I'll photograph the new car and post it up for you all to see.

what have you bought instead?? A word of advice from a serial Elise seller, keep away from the forum because it only makes you want to buy another one!!
Good luck in your new car.

John - rofl have to admit, the first time I took it out I was shocked!

Photos after the weekend.

Hue - know what you mean; will try and convince mrs zebs to get an elise when she's due to change her MX5.

Im sure you dont need me to tell you but after owning one for 6 months now...it just gets better and better, you'll love it!

Be sure to give it a good wash before posting pics...it was sporting one of the new Lotus lifestyle colours, Farm-Yard Brown when I saw it...wink

It was immaculate when I picked it up on Friday - it began raining two minutes after leaving the garage which got heavier and heavier as I travelled the 15 miles home. Washed it Saturday morning for the run and ended up driving it through virtually all weather conditions including snow over Buttertubs Pass. Washed it again on Sunday before going for a little run with StinkySteve and JTBush only for it to chuck it down again! Bah!

Looks like my Friday afternoon is taken up by valeting!

Id spent all afternoon washing mine as well, only to drive out of the petrol station and it not stop raining for the next hour. At least we didnt have steves problem of arriving with no roof on! You couldve kept goldfish in the passenger seat! laugh

It's a stealth fighter!

Sunday marked the dirtiest my car has ever been - It never stops the roof coming off though.

Always a dilemma with the roof off -

How much can i wash my winscreen without getting wet? Or do i put up with zero visibility whilst trying to keep up with a xige?

Zeb doesn't have this problem anymore!

Steve

John, Anita and I had a crackin' laugh when we came out as to the amount of condensation within your car - it reminded me of the piece on Top Gear when they filled the cars up with water to see how far they could get round the track before the water ran out!

We were at Derwent Reservoir before the level dropped below the bottom of the steering wheel.....How many points do i get for that?

2 trout, 1 salmon and a crayfish.
