Ooooo, nice. I've personally always liked them, and then I saw one in the flesh and it looked really quite tasty, IMO. No to just earn some more money and get one...

That's pretty sexy. So that's a 1200? Guess that means it pull like a train, but is like an armchair on tour, right??!!

I hope so, it is also for my commute to the wharf from oxford at warp speed

I found the bike to be very stable as it has a lwb

Very very nice.

Depending on my job situation over the next couple of months i may be looking for a commuter.

I'm looking at the R1200RT, bigger tank and better ecconomy..

Black K1200S is the only choice, looks stunning and with be very quick.

Its a big bike!!

A super bike and good choice.
Regarding the last comment about a commute and RT; I think that you will be surprised to find that the K1200 uses about the same amount of fuel as the 1200 twins. The other thing is that the twins actually feel much bigger and bulkier to ride.
I nearly ordered a 1200S a few months ago but looking at value for money and the poor trade in offered I let it pass (for the time being).

nice bike but I would get the wheels powder coated in black. My ZZR1400 was black with silver wheels. I had them done in black and it looks perfect smile

I get around 45mpg from my K1200S on my daily round trip commute of over 100 miles. This is all at er ….. brisk ……. commuting speeds. My tank range is a realistic 160 to 170 miles (which happens to coincide with 3 journeys for me) although they will go to almost 200 miles if you’re willing to take a risk. I don’t think the twins will do much better than that but they won’t offer the performance of the K1200S if I happen to be in a hurry or fancy some fun.

That’s why I bought mine second hand. At 18 months to 2 years old with around 5000 miles on they become pretty good value for money.

The black is lovely, but I disagree about the only choice. I’m not keen on the ‘bumble bee’ black and yellow but I think the others are all pretty nice.
