So what do people think of the new BMW superbike then?

Bodywork wise it loks pretty tasty (I hope they leave Carbon as an option lick), but it is kind of convetional for a Beemer. Inline 4 engine, Telscopic Forks, and could they not think of anything to do with the exhaust?

Also, is anyone else loving the European Litre Bike rennaisance that's happeing at the moment - Ducati, KTM, BMW. C'mon Triumph where's the 1050 Daytona? smile

People dont really think of BMW making sportsbikes.I didnt either until my GS was in for service and I was given one of their current sports bikes for the day.It was excellent-comfy,handled and rode well, and when I opened up the throttle on the motorway it felt like pushing the hyperspace button in the starship enterprise!

tbh no. i dont like the sportsbike riding position, i feel wrong like that & ache after a few hundred miles. plus i think naked bikes look better and are more fun (on the road anyway).
i know what sportsbikes are for etc & know they are good at it, they just arent my thing.

Nice looking bike and I might be tempted. Being a BMW it'll be well put together and will and will do it's job well even if it's not exceptional. (even though it might just be exceptional!) I'm looking forward to givin it a try.
