Car not run for 6 weeks!

Hi all, the Cerb's not been run for 6 weeks while the wheels went away to be refurbed and a few other jobs were done.

Any advice on what I should do before I fire her up this weekend, to make the event less stressfull to the engine?

6 weeks? Pah try 4 months since starting and 10 since it drove anywhere!

If you wanted to really sweet to it, take the plugs out and crank it over to get the oil pressure up with little loading on the big end and main bearings.

Apart from that make sure she's got oil and coolant etc and fire her up.

Mines been in the garage not started for about 7 months!! Av been in the hosp with a broken back and didnt trust anybody to go start her up lol!!

if you havn't already checked the battery do so as mine seemed to have died and now the park switch doesn't work. damed if i know why a flat battery would affect this but from previous threads it would appear as though i am not alone!

Battery is sillin in my kitchen on charge ready to go back in soon as i get the car mot'd and taxed
