AFM mount is loose - need fibreglass help
Discussion
The screw which holds the afm mount into the wing has basically become completely free. It looks like somebody has put some kind of glue in previously. What can I do to secure this mount properly, but still be in a position to remove it if necessary? I am a complete novice to fibreglass and dont really have a clue what to do.
Mines held in by a rivnut, which sounds like what you have.
Best bet it just to replace the rivnut, but put some epoxy of something on the nut before you install it and let it cure before you screw the AFM in.
Rivnut is bascially a threaded insert, that is crimped in place like a pop rivet, they are extremely handy.
Thanks
Matt
