It Passed - but!!!

My 1988 S passed its MOT yesterday with hardly a hitch. Whoever said TVR's are unreliable! The very nice MOT man needed some persuading as to exactly what constituted an illegal tyre. In the end we decided that 1.6 mm was legal and so it passed. Unfortunately the emmissions were within the permitted range, which means it is drinking petrol. Does anyone know how to go about setting up the K jetronic injection to make it run weaker?

When you say it was within the limits why is it too rich?

To adjust the fuel mixture a 3 mm Allen screw is located within the airflow sensor; this alters the relationship between the sensor arm and the control plunger. Turning the screw clockwise enriches the mixture and vice-versa.

It is ultra sensitive to mixture adjustment. 1/4 turn on the mixture screw will give about 5 - 10 percent change in CO.
