If the tamora looked like this - and it nearly does - I'd have bitten Peter Wheelers arm off...

I was very tempted to draw the same comparison myself - it's the short overhangs that do it I think.

Great for Pontiac. I think they need to do more for the front end though.

Maybe this is how TVR will re-enter the US market, the American Tamora.

I think it looks like a development of the Griff, with the simple curves and big front spots.
$20k = £14k
So less than a fully specced mini. I somehow think not!

If it drives as good as it looks.....phoar. However, on past record, it will probably be all gloss and no substance. God, I hope not.

That would be $20k in the USA where they don't have to pay the sort of stupid prices we have to pay in the UK. Just consider how much cheaper fuel is in the US, though admittedly that's mostly down to rip off UK taxes.

If this does go into production and gets sold over here it'll doutbless be at the highest price anyway in the world, just like other cars.

Bet it'd still look like good value next to the competition though. Time will tell.

Tamora meets Jag F type concept , cant fail to look fantastic on 20" rubber . but doesn't bring anything original to our eyes .
I still want one though

My point exactly.......just watch $20k become at least £20k !!!

I think it shares a lot from the tuscan, tamora and the Jag. Shame it wasn't the new TVR. I would have put a deposit down. There is very little in the looks department to offend.

Even at £20K, a car with 240BHP would give the folk at MG Rover a few shivers, not to mention TVR, where potential Tamora customers could buy 2 Solstices and still have change to fill them both with regular unleaded.

Somehow, I can't see GM tooling up for RHD configuration considering that Lutz says "Clearly we’ve approached it with a mindset toward production based on low investment, minimal validation time and flexible manufacturing."

They could if they farmed it out to a smaller more flexible manufacturer like err... Lotus. The VX220 was a stop gap until GM put together their own car. Is this it?

I quite like the styling, even though it has to be said that it is more derivative than innovative. Amazing how quickly they put it together. If this modular approach is as cheap and also produces a car that drives well, then I can't see why they wouldn't put it into production.

I'd be interested in it's handling capabilities, something yank cars are not renowned for. I think this is what the Tamora would have looked more like before it was thrown up a wind tunnel.....not bad at all

If it is ever produced, I'll be first in line to trade in my Mazda Miata for one. It's a definite winner.

speaking of miatas, isn't it already the affordable, pure roadster lutz talks about - and it's been in the market for almost 10 years.

Bland, but bland's got a lot to recommend it, compared the swill that G.M.'s been serving up - finally, a good use for SUV parts!
