As part of a cheeseboard selection accompanied by grapes etc., nice. On it's own it's a bit like having Häagen-Dazs at room temp!

Wensleydale on oatmeal crackers, yum. How/with what else can you eat Wensleydale?

I like to put some in my salad box for lunch, it takes on a wonderful taste after being in there with some spring onions and herbs for a while. (other cheese just doesn't work the same)

Has to be crumbly though, I've found it hard to get good stuff since the supermarkets moved to selling everything in pre-packs.

Just had some crumbly... you get a nice cut through the slice, but the edges just fall away.

Beat me to it. Any rich fruit cake or date-and-walnut. That sort of thing

Is that cows milk or ewes milk cheese? I always think the ewes is the proper stuff and the cows is a distant runner up.

Vintage aged Wensleydale, on it's own.

Maybe, just maybe some thinly sliced English apple......

I grew up in Wensleydale, no-one can get their heads round the fact I eat Christmas cake with Wensleydale. Until they try it smile

It goes well with apple pie too.

Wensleydale cheese with fruit cake or fruit pie must be a Yorkshire thing, in my family we have had it like that for as long as I can remember.
Last night, whilst peckish and searching the kitchen for something to snack on I settled for cream crackers with butter, strawberry jam and Wensleydale cheese.
A combination I had not had since I was a child, it was lovely, but my wife thought it was a disgusting combo.

Lovely in sandwiches.

Really like the M&S Weynsleydale and sweet carrot chutney sandwich. mmmmm, always pick one up for the train home to London.

Wensleydale, love the stuff. Morrison's do a nice traditional one.
