Hat to protect you from sun/rain.
Waterproofs, just in case....
Some sturdy footwear cos you can end up walking a long way.
Camera with plenty of batteries and memory cards.

Oh and walkie talkies for the drive down. Always come in handy when in convoy.

Ahh that reminds me, must take some flour... Always good for comedy filling of mates sleeping bag for when they return late and drunk to a dark tent!!

with the amount of males attending i'd like to publically state here and now that i have a girlfriend and that i bat for one side only..

Our Gallic cousins really struggle with decent bacon although the local Merguez snorkers are great for the barbie

Just take a credit card, everything you could possibly ever need is available at Carrefour!

We shall be taking basic camping kit, radios, a 12v jumpstart pack, solar panels, 12v lights and various random cack (mostly electrical), then heading off to Carrefour for a gazebo, coolbox, lots of ice, food, water and beer, plus anything else that we either forgot, or wouldn't fit into a selcetion of impractical 2 seater sports cars!

This is going to be our 5th maybe 6th year. If you want to stand any chance of keeping up with what's going on in the race then you MUST have the pocket radio. The best bit of kit you can have IMO. For our first couple of years we didn't have one and didn't really know what was happening unless you watch the screens constantly. Also spare batteries for the radio
