CoD4 PS3 online problems

When trying to access multiplayer online, my PS3 seems to be taking ages to download network settings when I first try and find a match (about 5-10 mins). It's only started doing this in the last few weeks and never used to be a problem.

Once I'm in, I can find and join matches almost instantly but getting in in the first place is proving tiresome! General connection speed is fine and the 360 doesn't seem to be suffering in a similar way.

Has anyone else had any this issue or is my PS3 developing a problem??

I cant help you I'm afraid, but I do have a gripe of my own relating to the game's networking interface generally.

It gives you absolutely no choice on which map you would like to browse/choose to join, the only trial and error way of getting into a game is just to click "find game" Not a huge issue at all, but from time to time, rather than joining others in the lobby, it sometimes throws you directly into a game which may already be half finished Does the 360 version do this as well, or is there some kind of far better "Live" browsing system in place?
