Treated myself to some boots!
Discussion
With my CBT booked for the end of the month I thought it would be sensible to buy some decent boots. Treated myself to some TCX Competizione S boots at South Wales Superbikes this afternoon. They seem to offer good support and fit well when wearing the Teknic Violator leathers I'm thinking about buying. Any comments on this choice of gear good or bad?

I can't wait to get out on the road (and maybe a novice trackday)now!

I've got some Teknic gear, seems well made and I'm pleased with it. I've actually just picked up some textile trousers this afternoon, to go with the jacket I bought recently.
I'm waiting until I've passed my test/the weather improves before getting leathers, but Teknic are on my list of possibilities.

Thought I'd give a quick update on the boots after my first outing with them today. I completed the CBT! It was a good day, I'm more confident in U turns than I had expected, a little too much rear brake on emergency stops was remedied after a few attempts (the downpour didn't help) but I had an absolute nightmare with the gear change on the CG 125. The boots were too large between peg and lever and changing up a gear required a real conscious effort. I wouldn't recommend them on a small bike. Looking forward to the DAS as this shouldn't be a problem on the bigger bikes.
