Sorry if this has been asked before, I did have a search.

My elise sleeps outside and has been sat up for a little while (a week or so - 2 at most) so naturally enough I had a flat battery - jump started the car and it revved for a few seconds and I headed off for a spin to charge the battery. No problems there. But when I got to the next junction (about 3 miles away) and brought the car to a stop it cut out, it started fine again but since then (a week or so ago) it has been doing this quite regularly. I'll describe it as best I can.

Down through the gears and onto clutch before bringing the car to a complete stop revs fall to 500-750 which feels like a low idle to me and then the car just stalls, it doesn't happen every time but it always feels like it could. Also setting off from junctions I have to give it healthy revs (2000-3000) or it may cut out setting off again. I've now started blipping the throttle when stopping for junctions to try and cancel out the problem.

Any Ideas - Cheers

If you disconnect the battery the ECU forgets the engine conditions and defaults to standard, a few journeys will enable your ECU to relearn the best settings for your engine, so hopefully it will solve itself

letting batteries go flat bu****rs them up very quickly. could be that when the engine drops to idle and the alternator output is very low, there isnt enough in the battery to give the ecm what it needs ie the voltage is simply too low.
