Strange title i know but just put my old gal (chimaera 5ltr) up for sale on the classifieds and hope to join the sp6 forum soon but we shall see, so if anyone is thinking off great minds think alike give me a bell cus i might do px a tamora lol, god i hope i've made the right desicision but hey ho life goes on and i gotta say the speed 6 cars for me kick ass in the looks department so lets just hope they live up to my 5ltr on preformance so wots the word on changing from a 5ltr v8 to a sp6 guys, wot will i love and wot will i hate lol, no engine rebuild prices please :-( .

I went from 4lt Chim to Tamora. Missed the V8 rumble, but a sports exhaust on the Tam goes a fair way to fixing that. What I loved was the handling, far better in Tamora, much more responsive and planted to the road. Performance wise, Tam clearly quicker than the 4.0, but its very different feel to the excelleration as the power is higher up the range, less low end torque.
Have you driven one yet? Suggest you do, and you will know what I mean.

2nd gear, up to 3,500 to 4,000 revs, hold it then squeeze away and whoosh... ah lovely.. right I am off for a drive...

Never driven one but i'm not one for wasteing peoples time unless i'm ready to purchase so i shall wait and see if my car goes 1st but i prefer power over torque so i guess the sp6 will suit me better. Does the roof adopt the same system as the chimaera as in the 2 alloy struts and the removable top section?

Yes. there is a tiny mod thats worth making to get the boot lid to go more upright ie spacer washers, i probably should add this to the Tamora register site, and of course a leven balg helps with a swift entry and exit of the paner from the boot.

LaserTam pretty much sums it up:

You'll miss the V8 burbling at idle.

You'll grow to love the noise at higher revs, you will love the performance, the handling, etc. And, as the Sp6 cars have long travel pedals, an easy clutch, and lowish torque at low revs, I find city traffic a bit easier in the T350.

Obviously, I miss not having a roof a little. But I prefer the looks of the T350. You pays your money and you makes your choice...
