Has anyone brought a pre-GM EFI car to the more modern injection system? Aftermarket perhaps?

Also, what all would be required to retro-fit a chargecooler on an older model?

Have a look on www.lotusespritworld.com under owners pages and take a look at Glyn Harper. He lives in Isle of Man, UK. He's installed a chargecooler, water injection, ECU, timer, 350S rear wing and many more to his carbed turbo. He will also be installing fuel injection as well.
Hope this helps.

I converted my 88 esprit to EFI.
Check out www.lotuspbc.com/
It is under New Products, just scroll down.
I like the system, it can be programed my laptop computer.
but it was not cheap! At $4000.

Guy,

The 88 Stevens car I looked at had the bosch EFI on it. I was thinking a haltec system or other might work well.

Since there is limited airlow to the engine bay, is the only intercooling solution to use a water-to-air cooler? Has anyone adapted alky injection with their current setup for a higher boost run?

I have heard of halteck they are a good system. My guy went with electomotive because he had built the custom direct ignition system for his car. You can put a big intercooler in it by readjusting the turbo.

Might be worth looking into a fabricated intercooler with alky injection

There is a 1,000hp TT viper being built right now that uses a wolf3D system.

Retrofitted a mostly stock chargecooler system onto my '89 GMP4. Used the exsisting computer and an additional GReddy Rebic to control the supplemental injectors. Must say, the whole affair was expensive, and the installation of a stock chargecool radiator up front was not fun at all.
But you can REALLY feel the difference in 3rd gear and up(even at only 10 lbs. boost).
So far, no problems at all. Works perfect.
