Can I put CV8 18`s on my 6.0 VXR. (With AP`s)
Been asked to sell a set of nearly new 235/40/18`s for practically nothing and am tempted to keep them as a drift/drag tyre.
(Will need to find some wheels if they do fit......anyone?)

18's fit over AP's (just). No problems on the rears but the fronts are a bit of a squeeze due to the position of the balancing weights.

This pic should highlight the problem with the weight rubbing (this damage occurred just moving the car on the drive as I was using an 18" wheel as a temp spare)

btw, I still have 2 non-kerbed CV8 alloys with very good tyres if any one needs spares!

How much do you want for the 18" CV8 wheels? I could use a couple of spares so I can run around while having mine refurbed.

Had to have my std 18s statically balanced, as opposed to dynamically, to get the weights in a position where they didn't foul the calipers.

Sorry, partially my fault there. Should have left the last bit for another posting.

I think somebody tried that a while back, and the answer was no. 17" do not fit over the rear AP's.

BF and I think Nitto make some 18" tyres though.
