Night time car shoot
Discussion
Im afraid my car isnt that exciting, but i wanted to have a go with lighting a night time scene. Im a video cameraman by trade, but my photography skills dont match that of my video. I dont have any remote flashes, but I thought id make use of 2 satchler reporter lights to light the car.
I used photoshop to increase the contrast a little, take out a couple of lens flares, and i also used the sponge tool to take out the orange cast on the tarmac and the speculars on the car, caused by some horrible sodium lights nearby.
Comments welcome!

They're good photos. In the second one, how have you illuminated the interior? Is it the interior light alone, coming from the lights behind or something else?
thanks. the interior was lit with 2 reporter lights behind the car, really low and angled up towards the carI think they're very good, although I feel that the first picture should be lined up with the vertical lines of the building or the horizontal lines of the barrier. I think the whole picture would look better then, even if the car would be at an angle.
Wouldn't mind seeing your video attempts if these photos don't match them!

hmmm, i do see what you mean about the verts. I might rotate it a little so the barrier is straight. the more i look at it now, the more it seems odd at an angle!Andy47 said:

At risk of being a bit 'look at me!' today, here's a copy of my showreel: http://www.peterford.co.uk/showreel1.mov(although you'll need quicktime installed. Im trying to get around to doing a flash website, and encoding the vid in flash, but quicktime will have to do for now.)
