I am after a cover for my recently aquired Chimaera 400. I am going to be using the car almost everyday so ideally i would like something that is easy to take on and off. I like the look of the Leven hood cover as that appears to look pretty easy to put on and keep the car dry and protected, but is pretty pricy i jusy wondered if anyone had any experience with this and what they thought? I am also wondering if a full cover maybe a better idea? Cheers

If you're going to use the car most days then the hood cover is probably the way to go. Heaving off a wet full cover (and finding somewhere to put it, other than in the boot) when you're in a rush is a PITA. There's a Leven Tech one on EBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEVEN-TECHNOLOGY-HOOD-COVER-...

I purchased a 'Voyager' cover from Cover Zone back in January, but found that during the recent heavy rain the paintwork and roof weren't keeping dry at all - so I called them back, said I wasn't that impressed and they agreed to take it back and upgrade me to the 'Storm Force' cover -

- arrived last week and very impressed. Approx £120, but 4 layers and guaranteed waterproof. Really nice guys as well - had a good chat with one guy before he despatched the new one to make sure that it really suited what I needed it for. Highly recommended.

The Leven cover works a treat - easy to use and the car stays dry as a bone.

Hi, I got my half cover from Classic Additions - http://www.classicadditions.com/ - at a fraction of the price of the Leven one you're talking about, fully waterproof half cover is £31.77 and with delivery only comes to £40.00. I keep my Chim outside and use it every other day or so and I find this cover easy take on and off - it has one large elastic strap at each end that you stretch round the car and there are two 'pockets' that fit over the wing mirrors. Keeps the car nice and dry and protects the hood

I used a Hamilton Classics Cover and was pretty pleased with it.
