After a body off restoration, with numerous unseen problems - ie no ARB with a cosworth engine - which now has ARB after fitting rally design engine mounts giving 12 - 15mm clearance to the ARB - the rockercover touched the bulkhead and to top that the exhaust downpipes and bonnet wouldnt fit and after lifting the body 5mm higher on the chassis location points, the bonnet now shuts after changing the holes at the front to slots appox 10mm and there is no touch between the body bulkhead and rocker cover.

So my son turned her over - see coughed and farted then started roaring away - back to life - thank f**k for that this has been a 5 month journey for me and the summer is coming on - no handbrake cable as yet - which I will be ringing about tomorrow (Saturday latest I was told on Wednesday)- the electrician need to replace 2 more couplers (all external changed) and then Im ready for an MOT.

sean about time is it not the best feeling when it fires up for the first time (have you checked the seat belt bolts to chassis)

Hi Ken - All bolts are secure - I had to elongate the body holes after raising the body. No handbrake cable yet - words exchanged between the Supplier and manufacturer, this week hopefully. I need more exhaust alterations - now they are adjustable they touch at the bottom when at the right height (just my luck) - they now need a little bend. O joy I hope that will be the end of the tweeks.

When is the chatsworth do on?

Hang on a minute.......
I notice a North Wilts dustbin in the picture, and a members address of Cirencester, that means you must live near Ashton Keynes, somewhere pretty close on the border of Wilts and Glos. I live in Calne. Hoping to get my S3 back on the road next week after having the alloys re polished (again!). Hopefully picking them up this weekend.
Do you fancy meeting up at the Wilts TVR monthly meet, we are meeting next Wednesday at the Lansdown Arms, Derry Hill, between Calne and Chippenham. Hopefully have my motor back by then, better had!!!!
