T350 - Thinking of buying

Early stages - thinking of a 350. Here is the plan.
1. Buy from a dealer
2. Buy as new a car as I can (hopefully already had an engine rebuild)
3. Set aside funds fo another rebuild
Anything else I should consider?
Is there a buyer's guide anywhere?
Finally, going to get a drive in a T350 this week, but was wondering - is the T350 easier to drive than a Chimp 5.0?

The T cars are much easier to drive - light clutch/gearchange, better brakes, easier to live with generally.
You should strongly consider a private purchase WITH a warranty. Many good cars are still being used, and not sat on dealer forecourts rotting and gaining electrical niggles.

Mt T350 is up for sale if interested. Only just bought it - 2 months ago from SSCC in boroughbridge.
As far as your questions go , buy the newest car you can , the speed 6 got better in the later cars with more reliability and better made engines. More important is how the car has been driven - ie warmed up before opening up , services etc
As far as driving go , the T350 is fairly easy to drive and although very powerful, does not have the heaps and heaps of torque from the RV8 , so you can just pootle about or go mad.
Selling due to personal issues, the car is imaculate insdie and out and gutted that it has to go after a whirlwind 2 months!

I had a Chimaera 500 and recently got a T350c.The T350 does seem easier, the gearbox is the same as the Chimaera but the ride is a lot better, the T350 goes where you point it to go. The power range of the Speed 6 is very different to the Rover V8, but you soon get the hang of it. You dont have the low rev torque that you have with the V8. The only thing I miss about the Chimaera is the sound, but the Speed 6 does have a sound all of its own.
