Roof replacement or refurb
Discussion
A new roof will set you back a shade under £400 if you buy it from Autohoods - they will charge you another £250 to fit. I have made contact with a Trimmer who will knock one out for £400 including fitting - I tapped him up during a visit to a well known TVR establishment. He will need to take your existing hood away to make it up - which is fine if you have a garage....
I'm toying with buying another hood from Autohoods and fitting it myself...

Slight side track - I want to change to Griff/Chim struts.
Where's the best place (cheapest) to get them?
I know a new fixing hole needs drilling, but the wedge one's rattle and it drives me nuts!
Thx
Try Douglas Valley Breakers or Bell Hill Garage. For the money I think they are too expensive - the Wedge stay bars can be adjusted to stop them rattling though the likely cause is probably to do with the hood losing its tension.Where's the best place (cheapest) to get them?
