To be honest I don't think I'm that bad, I've owned 3 car's since 2004 that's only every year and a half? Not changing until next year at the least?

Most people change their car every 2 - 3 years anyway what about S Works?

I'll put my costs and depreciation costs on here as long as everyone else posts there's? Truthfully as well!

I'd put money on it that I haven't lost anywhere near as much as some of you have spent on your car's

You are kidding - I wont admit it to myself let alone you lot.

OMG just imagine if Mrs Gooby saw it, my funeral would be a quiet affair involving a landfill and being buried in a car.

Excluding depreciation and repayment costs I think that hole in the road cost nearly 10K over the last 12 months and it still isnt right....

in terms of losing money it was probably only the Saab that i lost a fair few quid on. Saying that though i havent kept a running total of what i have spent for fear of realising. I am happy for SWorks or Boggy to win this one.smile

I would tend to agree with that if you start modding adding on bits and bods it soon adds up I spent 7K (Gearbox, clutch, Flywheel, Nitrons, Wheels, Radiator, Quick Rack....etc) in the first 12 months on a car I bought for 13K including servicing, value of my car now with all the mods now 13K so 7K depreication, as much as an Exige S in the first year.

How ever I expect in my second year the costs will be maximum 1K including servicing/tyres and tax. 6 months in £0 this will be significantly less than a car bought new in the second year.

Very much dependant on how long you keep the car in both cases.

I don't even like admitting this but we brought a Audi TT 180 new in 2003/53 Sold it to buy our 1st R 6 month's later and lost £6800 never again. I've lost about 3.5k on each R so I don't think that's to bad, spent around another 7k on servicing upgrades to all 3 as well
