Hi

Looking for a bit of advice regarding jammers.

I have Snooper s6 neo wired into my car, but believe the laser detector to be only useful in telling you that you have probably been done.

I have previously regarded jammers as OTT and am also worried about legality (i.e. heavy penalties) problems.

However, due to the number of 'Talivans' cropping up in our area, I am forced into reconsidering my options after a very near miss which would have resulted in a serious ban - I dont speed in 30, 40 or 50 limits by the way.

Any experience of which is the best (most effective )model and I have heard about calibration maintenance issues too.

Thanks in advance
Paul

oh I speed in 50 zones, because 90% of them used to be 60 or 70mph zones... why do we shy away from saying we speed, when infact we all do. All the time. Even us "good" ones? yet no one gets hurt, thus proving the lie. We even try to justify the 30 & 40 limits, and thats from US, a bunch of petrol fanatics.

Face it, the only limits that should be enforced are 20 & 30. And stuff 40 & 50. Too many rules, and it isn't even helping to save lives.

Back to your post tho', get one. Use it. Enjoy it. I'll get one soon, I'm fed up with the state we're in.

well IMHO the only way forward is with a lazer jammer.

I always thought it was ott but when you realise how effective laser is you really dont stand a chance.

Have a look at www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk and go to the steve warren test section.

It seems the best jammer is the LRC100 and they offer a test service too on the road. I have just installed it.

There are issues with using these but as with all things dont abuse it. It still gives the warnings you get with a detector but with the LRC100 you get the signal jammed for 5 seconds if you happen to be targeted directly, giving you chance to slow down before you are hit again.

Thanks Guys

I'll look at this site

I used to speed in these limits but have just completed a fast road advanced driving course with John Cave and I now realise that this can't be done any more.

the reason I dont speed in 50 limits is that these are the most heavily policed as I have recently experienced having been done on a talivan in basingstoke whilst driving a diesel pick up (work pool vehicle!).

Cheers
Paul
