recently finished my tuscan challenge race car road converstion atfer almost 3 years
the whole job was for more of a project to keep me off the streets but now its finished i find i have nothing to do
so i am tempted to sell it and start another project
the car is cdl no 33 which has been fully rebuilt and converted to a high standard road spec
ie another seat lights indicators etc , but is still very much a full blown race car fitted with a 5.0 litre teraka spec rover v8 fitted by castle race engines {and could very easly be put back on the track}but as these cars dont come up very often i have no idea what it could be worth

My mate would love that... If you work out what you want for it i'll ask him. He's looking for an upgrade to his trackday prepped MX5.

Not sure of his budget though. Post up smile

You must be mad!

Why would you want to sell such a beutifull car, I'm envious.. unless as you say you need another project, thinking about buying an S for the same reason..

No idea what it is worth though!

Its worth £5, and I'll be willing to pay £6 if you'll wait till the weekend for me to collect...

Well, its worth a try!

Based on my observations £15k - £35k depending on the quality of the conversion, engine fitted etc. Yours looks great in the photo.

Sounds about right, last road converted one I was aware of was up for bang in the middle of that at around £25k.

I would lurrrrve one of these, however on top of the purchase price I would have to add in the cost of the divorce that would follow...yikes

it is indeed a well put together converstion using good parts and the right people to put it together
cre / grantura engineering to name 2 was in the paint shop for weeks and the quaility is very good
but the wife wont go in it and my little boy bursts into tears if i start it up and try to take him for a run in it
driving it is great but even an evening run out can be like setting a lap time at the ring
may go to chatsworth in it that may change my mind

I've seen a few of them at the 18-20 mark, so I guess a brand new all singing all dancing would be a bit over that figure.

Please do, the cash flow isn't flowing so no chance of buying a new toy but just seeing them out of the captivity of the race track is enough for me.. rotate

This thread keeps popping back to the top which means I keep sitting here staring at the picture. Even my wife thinks it is a good looking car, though she did comment about the metal bars spoiling the lines. She knows I do not have the money to buy it so probably felt safe saying she liked it.

Mine knocked up around 200 miles over the weekend terrorising the good people of Fife and the Lothians smile

Only planned to nip across to see a friend....but the sun was out and for probably for the first time ever it was really running well in every department so I just kept taking more and more detours on the way home. Even on the rose jointed suspension and race springs/shocks they run surprisingly smoothly on the road.

200 miles eh .. that's about 2 tanks of petrol smile

The highlands, a tank full of petrol and a TVR.

Bliss.

has cost me a load more than that but thems the breaks and someone will get a great bargin
will break my heart to sell as ive spent the last 2.5 years in the garage almost every evening working on it
but got it out of the garage the other day and tried to get my son to go for a run but he just ran off . so took it for a run myself. and now the wife wants a new car now so pressure from upper managment and lower manegment now

I'd hate to see you part with such a special TVR. It belongs with you. Get a loan and sort the wife's new motor. The young chap will grow older soon enough, and want to drive it, never mind be a passanger!

Or you could sell it on to someone else on the basis that should they ever decide to sell it in the future you get first chance at buying it back ..
