Anyone know if you can retro fit rear seats belts to a chesil - ideally three point

Also do you need to change the doors if you want wind up windows ??

cheers

PS anyone know of any part built or ropey ones for sale

I had a great one last year that I foolishly sold and now regret (to a member here) – I want one that I can tinker with and make great so a mint one is not ideal for me

You can retro-fit rear belts, but they will will be lap belts only. You will have to change the doors if you have fixed windows and want wind up windows. This will obviously mean that you will ahve to match not just paint but also leather and door cappings. We (Tygan) are in the process of winding down kit production to focus entirely on factory-built cars. If you want a kit you'd better get your order in quick!

I have seen a few pics of 356 reps with three point belts ??

in fact here is one for sale built by chesil with what appears to be rear 3 pointers - although the add states the car was bespoke built ??

Interesting - I suspect they must have been rigged independently by the owner. The guys at the factory are quite sure that they don't do them!

I've seen Chesil show cars with 3 point belts like in the pic, from memory it was about the same time the new sculpted rear seat came in so maybe it was part of that development in early cars and then it was dropped?
