Hi all,

I was very taken with dickieandjulies 350SE last night, but I'd really like to try out a 400SE before making a decision.

Is there anything I should look out for in addition to the 350?

Cheers
Dave smile

Much the same car really. Subtle differences in the bodywork, chassis & interior but the advantage with the 350 is you can remoove the sill covers to get access to the outriggers without lifting the body, so maintaining or replacing them is far easyer. Personal choice really.

Thought you wanted a V6 'S' ... and the V8's were to powerful.

Have you been seduced by the darkside smile

Theres nothing to be affraid of

I like to do things as balls deep as I can like the first TVR I drove (never driven a sportscar prior to this) was a 4ltr Chim and in no time I was hooning happily with the owner beside me and yes.....the roof was off!!!! wink

When you throw yourself in the deep end, you quickly learn to breathe underwater wink

You'll be fine pal thumbup

Be carefull though......Wedging is addictive

If it's this one it looks good value: www.pistonheads.com/sales/405141.htm
I bought the first 350 that I saw and loved it. (I went to see another six or so and then came back to the first one.)
This looks interesting also: www.pistonheads.com/sales/401870.htm

My 1st TVR was a 400SE, and that was 13 year's ago at 25, and still have it and still love it.
As said most of the differance from a 350SE and 400SE and even 390SE's are styling. All the car's can varry in tune. due to age and mods and how bothered the guy was on the day who was building the engine. all should be above 200BHP if not there's somthing wrong. 220-240 is avarage, Seen one 400SE on a RR at over 270. and owner is 90% sure its a standard 400SE with a 3.9. mine was 240 on a RR before the re-build. not had it on a RR since. may try and get down to the RR shoot out.

Also the 400SE on PH www.pistonheads.com/sales/401870.htm seem amazing value.

As im sure its been said before, dont under estimate a 350i, 390 or any other model...in fact, any of the same models!!they are all different!every wedge seems to be unique from the factory!

My first TVR was (and still is) my 400se which i bought when i was 21...somehow ive managed to buy a flat and lots of other expensive things and managed to find the funds to keep her in the garage!! I do miss that left testicle and kidney though......hehe

Also - don't listen to Matt when he says that wedges ought not to have a rear wing..

They just look naked yikes

Mullets go with golf clubs don't they?

Anyway, got to practice sans mullet first time in monthscloud9 even if it was to the shops. Took my spoiler for a ride as well.
