London Mayoral Election Debate
Discussion
I managed to blag a VIP invite to the ITV 'London Decides' debate which took place last night and will be broadcast on ITV London this evening at 2240.
After the event there was a reception where I managed to ask Ken Livingstone why he does not mention the words 'motorcycle', 'scooter' or 'powered two-wheelers' once in his manifesto, unlike Paddick and Johnson's offerings which are very bike friendly.
During a lively 5 minute debate (argument) it transpired that....
Ken would like motorcycles and scooters replaced by cyclists because our vehicles are part of the 'climate change problem' and because we also cause accidents involving cyclists.
I stated that I, unlike most cyclists I observe, obey the rules of the road and do my very best to avoid suicidal cyclists most days of the week.
I also reminded Ken that two-wheelers are very environmental friendly and if he was that worried about vehicle emissions, why would he let in Band A vehicles in for free as part of his £25 congestion charge plan ?
At this point he became rather agitated and left ! Oh dear...I think I upset him !
On the basis of last night's discussion, I would beg all of you who are eligible to vote in the London Mayor Election to vote for Boris, since Brian Paddick has no real chance of victory and a vote for Brian would effectively be a vote for Livingstone.
Boris performed pretty well last night, as did Paddick. Ken looked well past his sell-by date.

Livingscum does not do arguments very well, after-all, he is 'a giant of a man' (his words) and one is expected to take his word as gospel.
A couple of weeks ago, the odious little creep was out and about in Muswell Hill with cameras, to meet the people. My brother was passing by and called out Ken's name, lent over to shake his hand, and at the last moment withdrew it, saying 'no I don't think so' and walked off chanting 'Boris, come on Boris'.
