Hello
I am looking to buy a right hand drive Countach ( not one built in 1989 or 1990 though ). Does anyone have any leads on where I might find one?
Also need to know where Lamborghini placed the chassis numbers on later cars.
Thanks.
look in the PH classifieds - there is white 88 spec for £80k and there is the red one Freewheeler has (on Autotrader)I am looking to buy a right hand drive Countach ( not one built in 1989 or 1990 though ). Does anyone have any leads on where I might find one?

otherwise the only other one I know of is the ex-Barry Gibb 5000S at Brian Classic & co - c.£90k

I know the red 88 1/2 car. Belongs to my friend. Beautiful car and one of only a handful of these in RHD.

that's a handful of some 14 cars in total ... it would be a shame if another one left the UK!!! Peter
the 5000S with Brian Classic didn't have any headlining when it sold at auction, that Mr. Gibbs must have used lots of hairspray which may have caused it to fall off... (£90k for a 5000S indeed)...

Hi
bought the car for fun and investment, so if the right offere came along then would accept it.
i did have a good look around before I bought and I know there are not a lot of cars out there. i wanted a QV and a non 88.5 model as dont like the side skirts and also dont like the anniversary. Were 470 non side skirts QV's made of which a guess would be 10% went to right hand drive markets? Were 140 88.5 cars which equates to the 14 rhd mentioned.
Of these cars proabably safe to reckon 90% surviaval rate?
Of these how many are used and had the money spent on them to keep them right?
A clutch assembly is now £4500 plus VAT plus fitting!
Not many original cars about as many had 'modifications' over the years.
Like all cars they dont like sitting in garages for monhts /years on end and some people have the habit of starting them up to rev thme and swithc off which isnt good for the engines as they need at least 10 minutes to warm through due to volumes of fluids in them
What I spent was for tyres, new manifolds and exhaust ( exact relica of original in stainess, as i need to drive it over 10 miles), new tyres and a complete replacemnt of all perishable bits mounts pipes etc when the engine was out carb overhaul etc etc. still bits needing done, but know a guy in the lambo club who has spent £50k so far on refurbihsing his car!
Simple truth is , if you want a good one, then you have to pay for it!! and THEN drive and maintain it!
I have now assembled the history of my car which was mainly missing when I bought it.
If anyone wants to know about the car before asking to buy get in contact with colin Clark who did original work or carlo mccrindle as they both know the car
