We've compiling another of our comprehensive guides and this time it's on the previous generation XKR. We're looking for a car to photograph in a studio over the next couple of weeks so if you think you might be able to help and would like to your car featured please get in touch with me at rogerg@evo.co.uk

I'm also trying to gather as many ownership experiences and as much technical information as possible, so please email if you can help.

Roger ask Mark Gregory Chairman of the XKEC Club, you'll find a wealth of knowledge and lovely cars to choose from.

Hi Roger,

You don't mention where the studio is? Happy to help if you think my car is suitable (see profile) and not too far to travel.

Also second Triple7's post suggesting you contact Mark. There are some stunning cars and a lot of very, very knowledgeable members in the XKEC.

Regards,
Graham

Hi Roger, I am happy to volunteer my Jaguar XKR 400. It is a Limited Edition convertible in Platinum, 2004 model year.Forty convertibles and 60 coupes of the '400' were produced. It is in my opinion the XK in its 'purest' form before the late version 'bodykits' were added before the series was replaced by the new XK. I am in Yorkshire if this is of interest, John.

Thank you for all your replies the guide is coming together now. Ideally we'd like to showcase a standard car rather than one that has been modified. The studio we usually use is near Norwich but we can do the shoot elsewhere if required.

Regards,
Roger

Hi Roger,

I guess it also depends on what year/model and colour you are after for the shoot. Mines standard with the exception of the exhaust, 2002 (2003 Model Year car) in Quartz.

Edited to add, I forgot the indicators and side reflectors aren't standard having been replaced by clear rather than orange units. smile So it's standard with the exception of exhaust and indicators!!!! whistle

Cheers,
Graham
