Brilliant!! The lad (14) got to drive an A Class and I did the 4x4 course in a GL and the performance session in a 6.3 E-Class with the lad as passenger for both - absolute blast (aside from the power delivery in the E which IMO was a tad crap but that may be down to the autobox)

Many thanks to Nick the driving 'instructor' and sorry for leaving the track in the E rolleyes

On top of that some really nice old Mercs, new Mercs, food and other stuff.

Best part of the day? Has to be the way the GL went over the 'lumpy bits'

Pleased to hear you had a good time, I came down to visit on a day off and now have the pleasure of working here. So if you would like to buy a car a car such as the one you drove just let me know !

Oh, you work there? We were there (MB Club) on Sunday. Thanks for organising the great weather. biggrin

I was wondering... the skid pan... are you allowed to try to drift?

Yes you can try to drift on it, although most people seem to spin off ! I've managed just over one full lap in a new C63, I need to get some more practice in.

Well, yes, I wasn't thinking so much of success as being told off for getting the back end out on purpose and trying to hold it unless you can prove you're a D1 champion or work for MB World.

Gonna have to have a go some time.

Can we drift our own cars on the skid pan, too? I have a CLK that could do with a hose down. biggrin
